- 0Renew your Canadian PR cardApply online once it's within nine months of expiring. It costs $50. Your status doesn't end when the card does, but you'll want the card before you travel.

- 0Get a Social Insurance Number (SIN) in CanadaThe number you need to work in Canada and to file taxes. It's free, and applying online is the fastest way. For citizens, permanent residents and anyone with a permit that lets them work.
- 0Renew an Indian passport in CanadaFor an adult renewing an Indian passport that's expiring or used up, while living in Canada. You fill the form online with Passport Seva, then hand it in to BLS International (or post it). Allow at least eight weeks.
