Common questions about billing.
What does US$14 a month cover?
Four seats — 4 people total, including you. Each seat past four is US$3.50 a month, up to 12 people in a household. A pending invite holds a seat from the moment it's sent.
When does billing start?
Only once you subscribe, and never before the 14-day family trial is over. The trial needs no card. Subscribe during it and you keep the days you have left: you add a card, nothing is charged until the trial ends, and the first US$14 (plus any extra seats) is taken then. From there it renews monthly until you cancel.
What happens when the trial ends?
If you haven't subscribed, the people you invited can't get in until you do. Your own workspace and data stay yours, and Solo stays free.
Which currency am I charged in?
Prices are in US dollars, and billing is handled by Stripe. At checkout Stripe may offer to charge you in your local currency, with its own conversion fee, or you can choose to pay in USD.
What happens if I cancel the family plan?
Nothing is deleted. Your own workspace keeps working on the free plan; your family members lose access until you resubscribe, and everything they sent is still there when you do.
Can I share with my therapist / coach / EA?
Yes, with Helg + your people. They join as a member with no visibility into the rest of your list — they see only what they've sent you.
Do you offer student or healthcare resident pricing?
Yes. 50% off the family plan for the duration of training. Email us with documentation.
How does cancellation work?
Cancel any time from You → Plan & billing. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you've paid for, then simply doesn't renew. We do not ask why and we do not try to talk you out of it.
Is there a self-hosted option?
Not yet. Your data is encrypted in transit, and we never use it to train AI — but we hear you.
